Well there is not a whole lot to report tonight but here is what we have. Shay's heart rate is still pretty high. They thought they were going to have to shock him again today but they did not end up doing that. They were able to get it down with some meds. His blood pressure has stabilized tonight. They put Shay back on the dialysis machine. This is really helping get the fluid out of his body and will help the swelling in his body. They have gotten quite of bit of crud out of Shay's lungs today through the respiratory treatments. They will be doing an x-ray on Shay's lungs in the morning to see where they are at. We are hoping that this will be a positive report.
Our prayer request for tonight is for God to clear his lungs. We feel that if we can get him off the vent then we can start moving forward again. Many thank you's to all of you who have been so faithful in your prayer. Shay is still very sick and needs our every prayer.

Hey Wild Man, we were praying for you at church today. Allie really needs you back to keep her in line during the sermon. Our church is having this big live nativity at the fair grounds in December. We were signing up to help. Allie wanted to be the donkey. Go figure. ha ha
ReplyDeleteAunt Kelly tells me you are responding some when they talk to you. Boy, I bet you are going to have a lot to say when they take you off your meds. We have a list of things here at home that we need to tell you about. You know the O'Neal family, the majority of them are too embarrassing to tell via inter-net. I think Coach O'Neal cringes every time he sees us posting...he's afraid we will let out all the O'Neal craziness. Too late! ha ha
You keep resting and we'll keep praying for your lungs. We love you.

Hey Shay!!! I haven't blogged in a while but I haven't forgoten you or your family. I pray for you with all my heart and soul. I wish it could be like it used to, when you guys would come over every night or when we kick the volleyball in to the neighbors yard. Or I guess what I am trying tosay is how much I miss you and wish you were here! I love you and can't wait for you to come back to Fair Grove with us. Sometimes its hard for me to get used to this change of not seeing at all... I wish I could see you in the hospital and be with you, but I just can't they won't allow it. I also want you to know that there is not one person who can heal but God not the doctors, nurses, or anyone but him. No matter how bad it may hurt have faith in God do not think that he can't because what ever his will maybe he can! I love and wish SO much to see you!!
