Greetings from our new vacation home in Oklahoma City. I have just finished making my weekly contribution to the Oklahoma Turnpike Authority. I don't want to create a lot of panic but Shay is having a difficult night. Shay has had some major issues with his blood pressure recently. His blood went from really high to very low for unknown reasons. Shay's oxygen levels were low as well but they are starting to climb. Shay has also developed a slight fever this evening. We are also a bit concerned this evening as Shay is not being responsive at all, even when he is being messed with by nurses. We have not been given a whole lot of information but there is something going on with his stomach. They have mentioned doing an ultra sound to see what is going on there. One of Shay's lungs continues to be problematic. They are constantly trying to get the crud out of his lung. Right now the crud is choosing to come out his nose rather than the tubes in which it should be draining from (not a pretty site but mom is there to suck it out with a suction device.) Shay's other organs are still not great.
Well the good news....the Fair Grove Eagles are playing in the state quarterfinals tomorrow. Other than that there is not a host of good information to report. This is a reminder for all of us that God is not finished with us praying for Shay. I believe that is it for now. Hopefully I will have some better news to report in the morning.

hey Shay,
ReplyDeleteJust wanted to tell you that all the football guys I've talked to miss you greatly!!! They will be keeping you close to their hearts as they play tomorrow! We are all keeping you in our prayers and hoping we get to see you back home soon!
Love always,
Amie Cleeton
Hey everyone, this is Christy (Shay's mom). I just wanted to let everyone know that Shay just had another respiratory treatment and he was much more responsive than earlier. His oxygen levels have come up but his blood pressure continues to go up and down like a yo yo. They have also decided to wait on the ultrasound for his stomach for now. The dialysis machine had mechanical issues earlier today so they decided to leave him off of the machine and try some meds to see if his kidneys would work and so far, not much is happening. So we believe that the stomach extension is due to the fluid build up. I won't be surprised if they begin the dialysis again tomorrow, with a new machine that hopefully won't have any problems.
ReplyDeletePlease continue your vigilance in praying for Shay's body to heal and for God to give him strength each day so he can continue to fight hard.
Thank you for your prayers and support.
Danny & Christy Stallings
I prayed throughout the morning and will continue to all day. We are with you in spirit. I also pray that your emotions hold up through the ups and downs. Rest when you can and know that we are thinking of you.
ReplyDeleteWe pray continuously dear lord for precious Shay, who is battling a serious illness. We pray that you will hear the hundreds, maybe thousands of prayers and halt this illness. We beg of you with all our soul and hearts to intensify your healing powers for Shay. He has suffered so much and we ask you to bless him on this day with your love and take this illness from him.
ReplyDeleteDear God, we love this family, they are wonderful people who have endured so much throughout their life yet they stay strong with love in their hearts for everyone. We pray for Danny and Christy and all his family to give them strength while you work your miracles with Shay boy.
In your name we pray,
AMEN
Christy and Danny,
ReplyDeletePlease know our thoughts and prayers are with Shay and you all even though we can't be there right now. We love you all and God knows our prayers. If there's anything we can do (including Crissie!) please let us know. We love you guys!

Just to let you know Red Oak First Baptist Church in Oklahoma is praying for Shay and his family and having confidence that God will heal Shay in His timing. I will pray for patience and God's comfort for you all.
ReplyDeleteIn Christ Love,

God must be planning something awesome with Shay, and with the town of Fair Grove. It's evidenced by the many trials that the devil keeps sending our way to slow us down. Well... unfortunately for him, we're not going to lose. Don't give up. The circumstances don't matter, our God is still a God of miracles, and we all have faith in HIM. God protect Shay and his family, also Pearl and her family. You are the most sovreign and all knowing, all powerful God. Show your mighty healing power LORD. Bless each family and let your empowering love wash over them.
