Back On The Coaster

Today started with some really good news. The doctor reported the most recent x-ray of Shay's lungs were showing some black spots. This is good. The previous x-rays were showing pretty much an entire white out. So we were very excited to hear about some improvement in Shay's lungs.

Our excitement was overshadowed by some less than favorable news this afternoon and evening. This afternoon Shay's heart rythm went a little crazy so he had to be shocked again to get it to level out. We are not sure what is going on this evening but his blood pressure has drastically dropped. They have given Shay some meds to try to get this up but at this time I have not heard if it has come back up.

Please pray for patience and comfort for mom and dad in addition to the healing of Shay's body.

  1. Shay's blood pressure has finally come back up to the 120's/50's after a couple of hours of hanging downing the 60's-70's/30's. No one seens to know why this happened or why it suddenly went back up. Like Chris said, it's a roller coster ride. They are trying to get him started back on the dialysis machine right now, he had some blood clots that clogged the machine earlier today so after blood tests and proceedures, we are now going to see if he can get started back up.
I just want to thank everyone again for your continued support and prayers. We had no idea what we were headed into when we made the trip down here to Oklahoma, but even with the daily roller coaster rides, Shay is far better off today then he was when we arrived. I am thankful to God for that.
As Shay's very good friend Allie has said to him many times, "If he brings you to it, he will bring you through it." We just need to remember that Shay will get through this, it's just going to take more time than we would like it to.
Have a good night, God Bless You all.
